Users are also researching doctors, insurance providers, and medical facilities. And, healthcare reform is increasing traffic to health insurance sites. In fact, according to comScore the number of people clicking on health insurance company links rose 56 percent from October 2009 to 2010.
Insurers, healthcare providers and health information sites need to ensure that their Web applications’ performance — web site response time and availability — supports users’ objectives on the site and does not drive them to competing sites or, for the insurers and providers, more expensive channels such as call centers.
