Gomez Named Provider of Web Application Experience Management Solutions for MySpace
Extends Relationship with New, Multi-Year Strategic Agreement
DETROIT July 13, 2009
Gomez, Inc. (www.gomez.com), the leader in Web application experience management, today announced that MySpace has signed a new, multi-year agreement with Gomez. The agreement, which extends the relationship between the two companies, makes Gomez the provider of Web application experience management solutions that MySpace uses to optimize the performance, availability, and quality of the site.
"MySpace is committed to providing a quality experience for our users and improving site-wide performance. Extending our relationship with Gomez will help us continue to improve page load speeds, optimize performance, and lower costs," said Linh Chung, Vice President of Production Operations, MySpace.
Gomez's solutions are used by organizations like MySpace to test and measure Web applications from the "outside-in," using the world's most comprehensive testing network which spans over 100,000 global measurement points. Measuring from the "outside-in" is the only way to find and fix business-impacting performance issues that can occur across the entire Web application delivery chain, from the data center to the browser. This external perspective helps MySpace understand how its Web site is operating and performing for end-users around the world, on different browsers, devices and connection speeds.
"MySpace users, especially the Millennial generation, have increasingly high expectations for their Web experience — they want it content- and feature-rich, and they want it now," said Bruce Reading, Gomez's SVP, Worldwide Field Operations. "By extending their agreement with Gomez, MySpace is demonstrating its commitment to deliver a Web site to its customers with optimal performance, availability, and quality. We are delighted that MySpace will continue to optimize its customers' Web experiences using Gomez?s solutions."
