THE 8 IMMUTABLE LAWS FOR DELIVERING QUALITY WEB EXPERIENCES |
|
| |
How to take your site to the highest levels of performance
On the web, your site is your business. Every slowdown or frustration felt by your customers will not be dismissed as an Internet problem — but as a customer service issue that directly affects your brand. So how to take your site to the highest levels of performance?
Follow the 8 immutable laws for delivering quality web experiences below:
1. Identify the action areas
For your web application to achieve its goals, your users must be able to fulfill a number of actions seamlessly.
2. Apply a comprehensive testing methodology
Within web experience testing, you may find a lot of contradictory advice about whether you should push active tests on your site (i.e. creating synthetic input) or whether you should monitor “real” experiences from actual end users — the right answer? Do both.
3. Benchmark against the best
Measure your site’s performance against that of competitors in your own industry and the best web performers.
4. Watch your partners’ performance, too
Are your partners meeting their SLAs and living up to your expectations — and those of your customers?
Take your site to the highest levels of performance with an in-depth look at all 8 Immutable Laws for delivering quality Web Experiences

BEST PRACTICES FOR LOAD TESTING |
|
| |
Online customer expectations continue to increase. They continuously demand more functionality, faster response times, and a consistent experience.
External load testing is a critical component of your QA and release plans. Baselining the external performance of your application with Backbone and Last Mile monitors ensures that you understand the performance of your application before, during, and after a load test.
This enables you to set load test goals properly, understand the effect of the load on the baseline, and determine how the application recovers as load is reduced.
